Call for nominations!

The SDPA is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the 2018 Board of Directors and AAPA House of Delegates representative.

We encourage SDPA members to contact Dermatology News (email the Editor-In-Chief, Mary Jo M. Dales, at mdales@frontlinemedcom.com) to provide your input on Dr. Coldiron’s ongoing derogatory attacks against our profession. Please also ask your collaborating physicians to provide their insight based on actual experience with the value PAs bring to their practice."
 

"Our support of FPAR reflects the need to support the evolution of PA practice as it relates to the healthcare team and protect the viability of our profession, not a desire to practice apart from the dermatologists whom we learn from at all stages of our careers and with whom we share our passion for excellence in dermatologic patient care."

The SDPA is now taking nominations for open seats on it's Board of Directors! Any current SDPA Fellow member can nominate themselves or another Fellow member to run for one of our open positions. Consider taking part in SDPA leadership. If you wish to nominate yourself or someone else, send an email with the desired position and the nominee's name to: elections@dermpa.org.

Open positions include: 

Did you know, with the release of the SDPA’s new conference sessions recording packages and our two new PI Programs, in addition to our existing JDPA CME exams, and our in-person summer and fall dermatology conferences, that the SDPA offers over 100 hours of CME to choose from?

Dermatology News recently published a letter by Brett Coldiron, MD seeking to clarify Medicare’s “incident to” billing when working with PAs in the office. The SDPA has issued a formal response to the letter and ask that community members lend their support by writing their own responses to the letter and submitting them to Dermatology News.
