Call for nominations!
The SDPA is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the 2018 Board of Directors and AAPA House of Delegates representative.
Service on the SDPA Board of Directors or as AAPA HOD representative is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of the largest PA specialty organization and the entire dermatology PA profession. The opportunity to work with other leaders in the SDPA allows you to be at the forefront of the many advancements and challenges that affect dermatology PAs across the country. You will be part of the decision-making process on a national level and play an integral role in driving the strategic goals of the organization. This is an exciting time to join the leadership of the SDPA and help us continue the growth of our profession.
Being a part of SDPA leadership provides an incredible chance to grow personally and professionally, develop new skills, gain unique experience, and make lasting connections and friendships with a team of similarly passionate and motivated dermatology PAs. The SDPA has a dedicated full-time staff near Washington, DC who manage the day-to-day operations of our organization under the direction of the Board of Directors, ensure that the programs and services we offer to our members remain top notch, and enable our volunteer leaders to remain focused on our strategic plans and mission. It is truly an honor to be a part of SDPA leadership and we hope that you will consider joining our fun, dedicated, and hard-working team!
Nominations will remain open until February 15, 2018 and voting will occur during the month of March for the following four positions:
- President-Elect (3-year term including 1 year each as President-Elect, President, and Immediate Past President; REQUIRES service as SDPA Board member, committee chair, moderator, liaison, or director for 2 of the last 3 years)
- Secretary-Treasurer (2-year term)
- 2 Directors-at-Large (2-year term)
- AAPA House of Delegates Representative (2-year term)
Candidates must be Fellow members in good standing of both the SDPA and AAPA. Terms of office will begin on July 1, 2018.
