By serving on the Diplomate Task Force, you play an essential role in maintaining and advancing the highest standards of dermatologic education.

What is the Diplomate Fellowship™ Program?

The SDPA Diplomate Fellowship™ program offers 64.75 hours of AAPA accredited Category 1 CME training through 22 comprehensive modules. Each module provides detailed training on key dermatology topics, equipping DermPAs™ with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to excel in patient care.

The program was developed in conjunction with Dermatology Essentials – 1st & 2nd Edition by Bolognia et. al., a core textbook used throughout the program. Participants are guided through associated chapters, ensuring a thorough understanding of essential dermatologic principles.

Interactive Learning Experience

The Diplomate Fellowship™ program is more than just traditional coursework—it’s an immersive and interactive learning experience designed to emulate hands-on clinical practice. The program features:

  • Engaging Interactive Modules: Each module is crafted to provide a dynamic and engaging educational experience. Participants are guided through comprehensive presentations that include real-world case studies, practical examples, and step-by-step procedures.
  • Videos and Visual Demonstrations: High-quality videos offer in-depth visual explanations and demonstrations, helping learners better understand complex dermatologic concepts and procedures. These videos bring clinical scenarios to life, providing a virtual hands-on learning experience.
  • Quizzes and Knowledge Checks: Interactive quizzes are strategically placed throughout each module to reinforce learning and enhance retention. These knowledge checks allow participants to test their understanding in real-time and receive immediate feedback, promoting active learning.
  • Simulation of Clinical Decision-Making: The program includes case-based scenarios and decision-making exercises, allowing participants to apply their knowledge in a virtual clinical setting. This simulation approach prepares DermPAs™ for real-world challenges, enhancing clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
  • Flexible Learning at Your Pace: The interactive design of the program allows participants to learn at their own pace, revisiting modules as needed to fully grasp each concept. This flexible approach accommodates different learning styles and schedules, ensuring a personalized educational experience.

The combination of videos, quizzes, interactive modules, and case-based simulations provides a hands-on learning environment that bridges the gap between theory and practice. This immersive approach not only enhances understanding but also builds the confidence needed to excel in clinical settings.
