Dear Colleagues,

Happy New Year to all my fellow DermPAs! As we ring in the new year, I would like to reflect upon our accomplishments and set goals for the new year. In setting my personal priorities for 2024, I realize the coming year brings countless opportunities for us individually, professionally, and as an organization. Now more than ever, DermPAs play a vital role in the American healthcare system.
The SDPA is listening to its members and is primed and ready to provide the tools, tips, and expert advice for our DermPA members and their success in the evolving future of healthcare. Our programming is set for creative and challenging tracks at the not-to-be-missed SDPA conferences in San Diego Jun 5-9, 2024, and Las Vegas at the new Fontainebleau Las Vegas, November 13-17, 2024. This year, the SDPA plans to increase advocacy efforts, broaden the reach and accessibility of our educational offerings, reinvest in and improve our creative learning platforms, and much more.
This year will be an exciting time for PA authors as the JDPA will be published by Wolters Kluwer, expanding the reach of our journal to a larger audience. We are also developing new programming focused on immunology, disease states, professional development, and other topics key to our member's learning and advancement. In my experience, I have learned that the future is unpredictable, often presenting unexpected challenges. However, it is during these times that we adapt and grow. Rest assured, SDPA is your nonprofit organization helping to navigate the path for all DermPAs.
Your voice and input are important to us as it shapes our decisions and actions for the SDPA. I want to emphasize that your support, guidance, and contributions directly benefit the DermPA community. May this new year bring us continued success, limitless inspiration, strength to overcome challenges, wisdom to view challenges as opportunities for growth, and the realization of our professional and personal aspirations. In closing,
“You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream." - Aristotle
Stay healthy and take care,
